Kinabalu Park 京那巴鲁神山公园
Malaysia’s first World
Heritage Site, the Kinabalu Park is home to Borneo’s tallest mountain,
Mount Kinabalu. Standing at 12, 455 feet above sea level, it is one of
the youngest non-volcanic mountains in the world, and holds a variety of
flora and fauna that ranges over 4 different climate zones. The
mountain is one of the world's most important biological sites as there
are over 5,000 plant species which is even more than Europe and North
America combined!
Visitors can visit the park and gaze
in awe at the majestic peaks that tell a story of a romantic legend of a
young widower awaiting her long-lost husband. While there, visitors can
choose to stroll around the park or even climb the mountain! Only 15
minutes from the Wind Paradise Recreation Center. Kinabalu Park is a
must visit when you come Sabah.
Sabah Tea Garden 沙巴茶园
Surrounded
by the world’s oldest rainforest of about 130 million years, high up in
the cool mountain air, The Sabah Tea Plantation is the largest single
commercial tea plantation in Borneo and is one of the very few tea
plantations in the world that is certified to produce organic tea.
A
mere 45 minutes drive from Wind Paradise Recreation Centre, visitors
can enjoy educational trips as well as enjoy a variety of recreational
activities around the tea garden. Sip on delicious Sabah Tea while
tucking into their famous freshly made tea pancakes from the patio
overlooking the plantations.
Desa Dairy Farm Desa牛场
Desa
Dairy Farm – The largest in Sabah with an area of 199 hectares, is
located at the Mesilau Plateau, about 10 minutes drive from Wind
Paradise Recreation Center. The green meadows stretching all over the
area was so refreshing at 2100 meters above sea level with hundreds of
Friesian cows roaming around. The processing plant is fully automated
from mechanical milking, pasteurizing, homogenizing, packaging and
distribution. Visitors can observe the milking process without any
assistance at 3pm every day.
Poring Hot Springs Poring温泉
Located
45 minutes away from Wind Paradise Recreation Centre, amongst the foot
hills of Mt. Kinabalu near Ranau, visitors can relax and soak away the
sores and aches in the natural hot springs of Poring. Deemed to have
therapeutic properties, the hot sulfuric minerals are popular among
locals and tourists alike.
At Poring, visitors can also
visit the first Butterfly farm in Borneo and the Poring Orchid
Conservation Centre which houses 1,200 species of orchids. There is also
the Tropical garden where visitors can get a glimpse of deers and a
variety of birds. One must not leave without taking a stroll among the
high tops of the ‘King of the Forest’ the Menggaris tree, on the Canopy
walkway or witness the world’s largest flower in bloom at the Rafflesia
flower site.
Kundasang War Memorial and Gardens Kundasang战争纪念园
Kundasang
War Memorial was one of the first memorials to commemorate the brave
Australian and British Prisoners of War who died in Sandakan and during
the infamous death marches to Ranau during World War II. The memorial
also remembers the many local people who risked their lives to help the
POWs. There were no English survivors, only six Australians survived in
the tragedy.
The Memorial is made up of four gardens
representing the different nationalities - the Australian Garden, the
English Garden, the Borneo Garden and the Contemplation Garden and Pool.
The beautiful gardens are a reminder for those who sacrificed their
lives for the freedom of others. The beautiful gardens are open to all
visitors and are a stone’s throw away from the Kundasang Town.
Kundasang Temperate-Vegetable Market Kundasang蔬菜市场
Located
just 3.8 km from Wind Paradise Recreation Centre, the Kundasang
vegetable market is well-known for its fresh and locally grown temperate
vegetables. Local farmers sell their produce here every day as it is
located along the main highway connecting east to west of Sabah. Fresh
fruits, flowers and local produce such as wild honey are also sold here.

Sungai Moroli river is the natural habitat of Ikan Kelah or Malaysian
Masheer. These fishes are specifically trained by the villagers to
perform the healing massage activities. The fish massage is deemed to
have a curative effect on those who suffers from psoriasis. Come to
